Barbara Ann Miller

LEXINGTON: Barbara Ann Miller, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Barbara was born March 3, 1939 in Bellville to the late Durward McCoy and Anna Spain.

After high school graduation, Barbara attended Mansfield Business School, and worked briefly as a clerical assistant.  On September 2, 1960 she married Mark G. Miller, and soon changed her path to her most important role as wife and mother to her four children.  Barbara and Mark raised their family in the Butler and Bellville area, and were proud to call the Clear Fork Valley their home.

Barbara was a gifted quilter, making far too many quilts to count.  Donating quilts to charities and fundraisers, she worked tirelessly for the Linus Project (making quilts for babies) and also crafting lap blankets for nursing home patients.  She was passionate about designing beautiful quilts of all patterns and colors.  She enjoyed baking, which required consuming delicious cookies, cakes and various goodies, including her family’s favorites like cherry desert and Texas sheet cake.  Barbara could find herself lost in a good crime novel, but delighted in sharing a lunch date with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Michael and Kim Miller of Columbus, Laura and David McCall of Worthington, and Scott and Susi Miller of Grandview Heights; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Jeannie (Glen) Shisler.

Friends may call Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm in Bellville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to the Butler Clearfork Adult Center or the Lexington Senior Civic Center.

Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve the Miller family and encourage you to share a fond memory with them at SnyderFuneralHomes.com
