James A. Frederick, Sr.

James A. Frederick, Sr., 68, of Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

James was born May 4, 1955, in Altoona, PA, to Bernard C. and Esther (Otto) Frederick. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 15 years, earning the rank of Gunnery Sgt. 

He is survived by his son, James A. (Sarah) Frederick, Jr. of Lawton, OK; granddaughters, Allauna (Brady) Boone and their children, Eleanor and Logan, Courtnie (Caleb) Hampton and their son, Mitchell, and Breauna Frederick and her son, Zeke; and siblings, Debra (Arnold) Lamp, Samuel (Andrea) Frederick, Nancy Gessaman, and Brenda (Tim) Kinkaid.

James was preceded in death by his parents and a stillborn sister, Joann.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Graveside services will follow at Franklin Cemetery, with full military honors performed by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
