Kaye Jay Keiser

Kaye Jay Keiser, age 83, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Bennington Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marengo, Ohio.

He was born February 4, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Peter and Mildred (Carver) Keiser. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from AK Steel in 1997 where he worked as a metallurgist. Kaye loved to bowl and play golf in his traveling league. He was an avid OSU Buckeye football fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. His family was most important to him.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Betsy Keiser; three children, Kirk Keiser, Kari (Dwayne) Foss, and Kali (Jerry) McQuillen; seven grandchildren, Kevin Keiser, Kayla (Glenn) Perkins, Jessica Keiser, Nikki Craft, Brittnay (Stephen) Whitesel, Jeremy McQuillen Jr., and Kameron McQuillen; and six great-grandchildren, Brielle Harrell, Oakly, Bently, Paisleigh and Adyson Borders, Jeremy McQuillen III and Alayna McQuillen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kaye Jay Keiser II; a brother, Peter “Petsie” Keiser; and two sisters, Joan Hale and Susan “Sue” James.

There will be no service or visitation observed. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
