Kalman Toth Sr.

Kalman Toth, Sr. passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Mansfield, Ohio where he lived with his beloved wife, Susan (Leech) Toth. He was the son of Kalman and Margaret Toth and was born in Budapest, Hungary on April 21, 1937. There, he was a Freedom Fighter in the Hungarian Revolution before immigrating to Ohio in 1957.

Kalman worked hard in pursuit of the American dream and to build a better life for his family. After years of studies and an apprenticeship, he became a tool and die maker for General Motors and retired with over 30 years of service. In his free time and following retirement, he enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, golfing, hunting and reading. Kalman was also well traveled and especially enjoyed trips with his wife throughout the United States.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan (Leech) Toth; two sons Kalman Jr. (Cindy) Toth and Peter (Jamie) Toth; and three grandchildren, Mary (Joseph) Arias, Athena (Dylan) Wolfe, and Steven.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Toth and Margaret Koszegine.

The family will host a celebration of life in honor of Kalman with details to follow.
