Dan Christo

Dan Christo, 72, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. 

Dan was born on November 1, 1950, in Mansfield, to Anthony Sr. and Eva (Messer) Christo.  He retired from MANCI after over 30 years of employment. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was known for telling stories and making people laugh. Dan was a member of the Shiloh Masonic Lodge #544, NRA and RC Fish and Game Protection Association.  He also supported St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter, Chandra; grandchildren, Mackenzie “Kendy”, Jaiden, and Madisin (Levi); brother, Anthony Jr. (Sandra) Christo; niece and nephews, Rhonda Dendinger, Mark (Irene) Christo, Steven Douglas (Debbie) Christo, and James Todd (Holly) Christo; and many friends including Stewart Mitchell and Richard Zerby.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; Chandra’s mother, with whom he had a special place in his heart, Rita Winbigler; and brother, Steve Christo.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio 44905.  Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
