Mark Lewis Sistek, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023 in Howell, Michigan. He was born January 14, 1953 in Mansfield, Ohio to William Lewis and Dororthy Mae (Stambaugh) Sistek. Mark enjoyed listening, playing, and writing music, as well as reading while growing up. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1971. Mark then went on to Columbia International University of Columbia, South Carolina, graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science, in Biblical Education. He also toured with the college choir while enrolled at Columbia. In 1978, Mark earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Denver Seminary. Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN conferred a Doctor of Ministry Degree on him in 1998.

Mark served as a pastor in South Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Surviving are his two children, son Jonathan Sistek and daughter Lauren (Tim) Culp. Also surviving are his brother David (Jean) Sistek of Mansfield Ohio, neices Kathi (Bobby) Mounts, Melissa (Kevin) Fidler, along with many grandnieces, nephews and cousins.

A private celebration of life will be held by his family.
