BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Fair will take place beginning July 20 and running through July 25, according to a statement posted on the fair board’s Facebook page on Wednesday night.
After receiving the governor’s guidelines for Responsible ReStart Ohio, the board voted to continue planning and go ahead with a full 2020 fair, the statement reads. There will be some modifications that will be forthcoming.
“The updated guudelines still present some challenges that must and will be addressed,” the letter notes.
Rides will be included with admission, according to the statement released by Roger Auck and Blaine Rowlinson, the president and vice president, respectively, of the Crawford County Ag Society.
The areas subject to the most change and still under review are the midway, carnival, livestock sale along with the grandstand events.
“But we feel we are going to go on with the 2020 fair with adjustments as planned,” the letter reads. “We are working with the Crawford County Health Department to come up with a plan to have a safe and fun fair for all.”
The COVID-19 pandemic, along with social demonstrations, remain situations which require constant attention, the letter states.
“How can you, the community, help the Crawford County Fair be a sucess?” the statement asks. “Renew your memberships, bring in your exhibits to the fair, and any business or individual interested in sposoring the 2020 fair please reach out to the fair office and discuss the possibilities.”
