The class of 2020 has certainly had a memorable senior year…albeit for all the wrong reasons.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected almost all the good parts of senior year – prom, senior skip day, and the granddaddy of them all, graduation.

We think it’s safe to say that walking to school uphill both ways has nothing on this class of seniors.

With the pandemic altering graduation ceremonies, we want to make sure our area seniors are still recognized for their achievement. These students deserve a moment in the sun to celebrate starting the next chapter of their lives.

That’s why we’ve created Senior Spotlights, a new section on our site dedicated to honoring the graduating seniors of Richland County.

The process is simple: Click the link below that takes you to a form where you can submit a senior that deserves to be spotlighted.

How to submit:

Click here to submit your own Senior Spotlight!

Tell us about your senior’s accomplishments, future plans, extracurricular activities, and favorite quote. Include a special message to your senior. And don’t forget to submit a picture showing their good side!

We check each entry for grammar and spelling, which means that it might take a day or two to publish on our site. Each submission will be published on our new Senior Spotlight section.

Let’s send our area seniors off on a high note. They deserve it.
