A U.S. astronaut salutes the flag on the surface of the moon during an Apollo mission.

ASHLAND — The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Ashland County will sponsor a talk with Tom McNaull on the Apollo Moon Missions on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky St.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

The event is taking place in light of 2019 marking the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing by Apollo 11.

A long-time Ashland resident and Ohio State alumnus, McNaull will outline the history of the Apollo program and highlight unique involvements that both Ashland and The Ohio State University had with the program.

The program will be held take place from 7 to 8 p.m.
