GALION – The Galion Primary School has received its second “All-A” Award from the Ohio State Board of Education.

The award recognizes schools that have received A’s on every aspect of school performance measured on Ohio’s School Report Card.

“This is an incredible honor for our teachers and staff,” Primary School Principal Melisa Watters said. “Our building’s outstanding performance on the state report card is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our teachers, students and families.”

Galion Primary School is part of an elite group of schools around the state that are demonstrating high-quality teaching and leadership that result in high academic performance for every student. This is the second “All-A” Award the Primary School has received in the past three years.

“I am proud of Mrs. Watters and the Primary School students, families and staff for earning this well-deserved recognition,” Galion Superintendent Jim Grubbs said. “Our teachers work tirelessly day after day helping every student achieve their greatest potential, and this award is a positive reflection on their work with our students.

“Congratulations to everyone at Galion Primary!”
