MANSFIELD — Mainstreet Tattoo Studio II at 23 East Fourth Street in downtown Mansfield has officially opened.
Owner Ashly Herron expected renovations to complete by mid-July, but the work ran a few weeks over.
“We put a lot of work and money into this place,” Herron said.
It shows.
The renovations include exposed brick, a drop ceiling with exposed air ducts, refinished wood floors, new walls and Herron’s favorite: a custom built display case for body jewelry.
All the new hires have been made, which includes one full-time counter person, three piercers and guest tattoo artists lined up for six months. August’s guest artist, Brad Baumberger, grew up in Madison but moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he practiced tattoo art.
“We’re booked solid all week,” Herron said. “It’s amazing. I’m really excited.”
The shop’s hours are Monday through Saturday noon to 9 p.m. and it is closed on Sunday. To make an appointment, call 419-775-7703.
