MANSFIELD — Mansfield Police have found a 5-year-old male who was reported missing at 9:50 a.m. July 17.
Logan Edwards was dropped off just before 1 p.m. off by a church bus that had picked him up earlier, Assistant Chief  Keith Porch said.
“We are extremely pleased by the response from the community,” Porch said. “We estimated between 50 and 100 volunteers who responded to the blurb on our website. It is a fantastic feeling knowing volunteers were there to help.
According to MPD Chief Ken Cootnz, the child was reported missing after having last been seen around 1 a.m. when he was sleeping in the same room as his 10-year-old brother at his house in the 200 block of East Longview Avenue. More information will be found out after the child and his mother are interviewed by police, Porch said.
Police had called a press conference Sunday morning and were gathering volunteers to perform a comprehensive search of the area before the boy came home.Â
