One of the most frequently asked questions from our audience has been either “Do you guys have an app?”; closely followed by “I couldn’t find your app in the app store.”
The answer is yes, we have what is called a mobile app that works on both iPhone and Android devices. The Android installation is pretty simple, but not as seamless as an iPhone. ” Go figure”, says Richland Source editor and Apple snob David Yoder.
After the mobile app is installed; it appears as a purple icon on your phone or tablet. Our mobile site code is written to function and interact like an app you would download, but you won’t find us in the Google Play store for now.
Here’s how to install the Android app to your smartphone.
First, you’ll need to type www.richlandsource.com into your URL bar in your browser. Enter the site into the URL bar and navigate to it. The browser in the pictures below is the default Chrome browser. Firefox users have a three step process as outlined by Mozilla.
When you arrive at the site, simply click on the settings (three dots at the top right). Once you have clicked the settings icon, simply click the “star icon” that appears in the menu. This will place www.richlandsource.com into your bookmarks.
The next step is to save the bookmark information on your phone. Click the save button on the bottom right hand corner.
Richland Source should be saved into your bookmarks. Find your freshly created bookmark and press it until a pop-up menu appears.
This menu should appear. You’ll want to press the “Add to Home Screen Option.”
Your freshly created one-click to Richland Source will be on your home screen. You are welcome to keep it there or organize it on any page of your choice on your device.
