The Mansfield Christian Flames girls varsity basketball squad traveled to Danville on Saturday. Danville handed the Flames their third loss by a final score of 56-34.

It was a rough night for the Flames offense. They were limited to 9 points in the first half to trail 30-9 at the break. That would be a deficit that was just to deep to overcome. The second half had a much slimmer margin, the Flames scored 25 points to Danville’s 26.

The Flames’ Katie Ritz lead the team with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Char Adkins followed with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Addie Daugherty cleaned the glass with a team high 10 rebounds.

The Lady Flames won the JV contest 21-18.

Up next, the Flames match up with Lucas on Saturday.
