Welcome to Richland Source, which we hope will become your home for online community news.  Our mission is simple. We are here to promote and connect the citizens of Richland County with one another and the rest of the world. As a news source, that requires us to break from either tradition or current trends in some very fundamental ways that we think you may appreciate.

Local news. The news we report will be almost exclusively about Richland County and surrounding communities. Our sports section will be focused on local athletes young and old. Our business section will concentrate on the companies here in our area. It requires more effort to report news this way because we have to leave our desks, meet with people, and form relationships. However, we believe our community is worth that extra work.

Positive attitude. Richland Source is focused on what is great about our region, our towns, and our citizens. Promoting and connecting only happens when reporting news in a way that is optimistic, confident, and hopeful. We choose to find and report on the quiet accomplishments, the amazing victories, and the noble efforts. We do this because these are the things that make Richland County a great place to live and work.

Willingness to listen. Richland Source is about you, and we need your input to be successful in our mission. There will be much more on this effort in the coming weeks, but for now please feel free to drop us a line anytime at contact@richlandsource.com or call us at 419-528-1234.

Finally, thank you. Thank you for being part of Richland County. As a resident, a visitor, or someone just passing through; your presence is integral to what makes this slice of America a wonderful place to call home. Richland County would never have become the place it is today, nor will it meet the challenges before it without the commitment and dedication of its citizens and visitors. We look forward to meeting you and being your online home for community news.
