SUMMARY:Richland County Farmers Share Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Richland County Farm Bureau will celebrate agriculture\, local farmers and our rural community with its Farmers Share Breakfast on March 25. Come mingle and meet with Richland County Farm Bureau volunteers and local farmers. Join us for table-top discussions and great fellowship.\nFor a free-will donation\, enjoy pancakes\, fresh whole hog sausage\, local eggs\, orange juice\, milk and coffee. Money donated at the breakfast is given to food pantries in Richland County\, in honor of the FFA chapters who help. We have donated nearly $18\,000 to area food banks and the Harmony House in the past 15 years.  \nTalk with local farmers and learn how your food is produced. This event will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and learn how farmers care about their community and celebrate Richland County’s agriculture.  \nFollow Richland County Farm Bureau on Facebook and bookmark our webpage for details on events and programs throughout the year.

SUMMARY:Bunny Felting Class
DESCRIPTION:In this needle felting class you’ll be learning to sculpt a bunny out of roving (produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece). Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab the roving causing the fiber to tangle and become more compact. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting a three dimensional object\, how to create a core shape\, apply an outer color\, ears\, arms\, and legs\, if desired\, as well as create facial features. Students can choose different colors and each will design their own unique bunny rabbit. As time allows\, students can needle felt “bunny accessories” such as hats\, scarves\, etc. This class is for all skill levels. There will be a simple design option for those that have never needle felted\, which will allow beginners to learn and understand the process of needle felting without some of the details that those with experience may want to tackle. For others with some felting experience\, techniques for making arms\, legs\, and accessories will be taught. These techniques will enable you to make other three dimensional figures.Cost of class includes materials and use of felting tools needed for project. Felting Supplies are also available to purchase should you want to do more needle felting at home.
