Use natural items such as pinecones\, dried fruit and flowers\, ribbon and whatever esle you care to expertly weave into your\, artificial pine garland. Your garland when finished will be approx. 9 feet in length. You can decide when your putting it together if you want to make it permanent or have the ability to change out the items for a different color scheme and all materials are included in the fee. \nThe cost for the workshop is $30 per person and refreshments are provided. \n(Note: if you want to add lights there will be an additional fee of $5)

SUMMARY:Turkey Felting Class
DESCRIPTION:In this class you will learn to create a colorful turkey using a craft called needle felting. Needle felting is the process of using a single barbed needle to repeatedly jab alpaca/wool fibers causing the fiber to tangle and become compact in order to create a two-dimensional flat piece or three-dimensional sculpture.We will start with the turkey tail feathers giving you a chance to get comfortable with needle felting on a flat surface. You will then learn how to create a core shape\, how to wrap roving around the shape to begin the needle felting process\, and how to create other three-dimensional shapes such as a neck\, beak\, and wattle. Needle felting skills learned in this class will enable you to create other felted projects on your own.This class is more involved than some\, but geared towards beginners as well as those with previous felting experience. Creativity is not a requirement and there are no mistakes when it comes to this fun craft.All materials are included in fee\, felting tools and foam surface to work on are provided for use in class.
