SUMMARY:Ohio Plein Air Society's 20th Annual Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS) will be holding its 20th Annual Competition on Sept. 24\, 2023\, on the grounds of the Mansfield Art Center\, 700 Marion Ave\, Mansfield\, OH 44906. This organization consists of artists painting outdoors. The participating artists will paint all over Richland County for three days prior to the event\, painting landscapes\, historical scenes\, cityscapes\, farms\, etc. On the fourth day\, the artwork is judged by a professional artist. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding paintings.A Wet Paint Show is open to the public on Sunday\, Sept. 24\, 2023\, 10 am – 2 pm\, at the Mansfield Art Center pavilion. There will also be a Quick Draw Competition where artists will complete a painting on location from 10 am – 12:30 pm. At 1:00 pm awards will be presented.\nThere will be high-quality artwork on display by well-known artists. Depictions of Richland County done in oil\, watercolor\, and pastel mediums will be available for viewing and sale.

Artists will be competing for prizes and recognition. Awards will be presented at 1:00 p.m. \nOpen to the public\, a “Wet Paint Show & Sale” will also take place on Sunday\, Sept. 24\, from 10 am – 2 pm. \nArtwork of Richland County will be on view and for sale. T \nhere will be a “Quick Draw Competition” from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Artists will complete an entire painting on location in that time period. \nAthena Gyro Express Food Truck will be at the event from 10 a.m. – 2 pm. Baklava\, gyros\, and more will be available for purchase. \nThis will be a high-quality art event you won’t want to miss.
