Bobby Ray Patton Sr., age 83, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at OhioHealth Hospital in Shelby.
Born June 26, 1940 to Robert and Florence (Dulin) Patton in Shelby, he had been a lifelong resident. He spent 18 years working for Ohio Brass and deemed himself a “Shade Tree” auto mechanic.
Bob was an all around handyman. He loved working on automobiles and doing small engine repair work. If it required a special tool, he probably had it. He enjoyed raising chickens and ducks and never met a Trump supporter he didn’t like.
He is survived by his loving wife Audrey (Baldridge) Patton whom he wed October 6, 1959; three children Kimberly (Michael) Lybarger of Shelby, Bobby Ray (Fiancé Stephanie Mulvane) Patton, Jr. of Shelby, Stoney Ray Patton of Spokane, WA; four grandchildren, Steven (Buffy Rearden-D’amico) Andrews, Stacey (Jeremy) Carter, Stoney (Chelsea) Patton Jr., Michael Patton; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters Betty Hall of Beallsville, OH, Carol Culler of Shelby and Teena Green of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Florence, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Pauline Branch and brother Leroy Patton.
Friends may visit Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Earl Tackett will officiate with interment held at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
