BUTLER: Gil Steven Bowman of Butler, Ohio passed away at home peacefully surrounded by family of a brief illness. He was born December 7, 1961 in Mansfield, Ohio to Dwight and Marilyn Bowman. He married Tari Pfoutz of Butler on January 28, 1983. Gil loved his family; he was a wonderful Pop-Pop and a very hardworking, talented man. He enjoyed summers at his Kentucky Mountain Home with his family and friends. He loved arrowhead hunting and had an amazing collection to show for it, if there was an arrowhead to be found he found it.

Gil left behind his wife Tari of 41yrs, son Matthew of Kansas City, Tyler (Charla) of Fredericktown, Sloan (Ally) of Butler, grandchildren Jozy and Dax, brothers Biff (Vickie) of Florida, Kip (Violet) of Bellville, Rod of Butler, sister-in-laws Charla (David) Irvin of Bellville, Pat (David) Martin of New Albany, brother-in-laws Jeff of Shelby, David of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gil was preceeded in death by his father Dwight, mother Marilyn, sister Ginger, father-in-law Charles Pfoutz and mother-in-law Twila Pfoutz. Gil will be missed by many. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Elder and the staff of Hospice of North Central Ohio for their care and support.
