Betty Jo Nichols, 69, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Betty was born October 3, 1953, in Mansfield, to William Nichols and Betty J. (Carroll) Roy. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, helping people, and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was known for her kindness to others, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Rogers Nichols, Joseph (Amanda) Nichols, and Sarah Nichols (Phillip Ross); grandchildren, Mariah Nichols Bosley, Allen Nichols Bosley, Keera Nichols-Bosley, Kristin Tallackson, Whitney Flowers, Haylie Keller-Nichols, Alexis Keller-Nichols, and Emmah Nichols; great-grandchildren, Izen Nichols, Eden Tallackson, and Ezra Tallackson; and many siblings, including Mary Parnell, Wilma Scott, Leslie Sweeney, and Laura Riggs.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty and John Roy; and her brother, William A Nichols Sr.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2023, at ARC Empowerment Center, 378 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with her son, Joseph Nichols, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
