John L. Pifher

John (Jack) L. Pifher, 69, passed away April 18, 2023, at home unexpectedly, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born April 26, 1953, to the late John F. Pifher and Bernice E. (Sheets) Pifher. Jack attended St. Peter’s school from 1st grade through 9th grade and then graduated from Ontario in 1971. After graduation, Jack chose to take on the career path of an electrical tradesman, under his grandfather J. F. Pifher. After working side by side with his grandfather at Studer Electric, he then joined the IBEW local 688 and retired from BCU Electric, INC. 

Jack enjoyed riding his motorcycle, sharing stories from his BCU days, going to breakfast with his friends and family, spending time with his grandchildren, working on projects in his garage, mowing his grass, and spending time with his wife of 20 years, Andrea J. (Lauderbaugh) Pifher. 

Jack is survived by his wife Andrea J. (Lauderbaugh) Pifher, mother Bernice E. Pifher (Sheets) and mother-in-law Kay Lauderbaugh. His children Chrissy (Matt Roberts), Maile Sherman (Jon Goley), Dale Sherman (Emma), Hayley (Dylan Bowersock), Shannon (Brian Edgell), and Joyce Kelly. His grandchildren, Bailey, Willow, Gavin, Peyton, Ella, Kamren, Maddesyn, Kontance, Colson, Chloe, Caleb, Isabella, Emma, and Scarlett. His siblings Bev (Bill Cowell), Ken (Sandy Pifher), Steven (Diane Pifher), Marilyn (Ralph Pettis), Teresa Pifher-Hess, Tony (Roberta Pifher), Donny (Corinne Pifher), Diann (Dave Vesper), Darlene Lauderbaugh (Mike Montague). His surviving aunts and uncles, Lester (Fr Cletus) Pifher, Gloria Bowman (Mike Moore), and Cindy Pifher-Stark. He is preceded in death by Father, John F. Pifher, Father-in-Law, Larry E. Lauderbaugh, Steven Pifher, Robert Pifher, William Pifher, Paul Pifher, Paul Stark, and niece Jenny Campbell. 

There will be a private family service held at a later date. Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society assisted the family with arrangements.
