Jane Hoffert, age 88, resident of Shelby passed away peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Shelby Pointe Nursing Facility.

Born August 3, 1935 in Tiffin to Herman and Florine (Smith) Weber, she had been an area resident the majority of her life. A 1952 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, Jane was employed in numerous retail and jewelry stores before working as a nurses aid. She was a phenomenal cook, and had a huge heart, always looking to help others in need.

She is survived by her two sons Brad Hoffert of Ashland and Mark Hoffert of Fremont; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Per the families wishes, services will not be observed.
