Harold “Dick” Gahm, 98, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Arbors of Mifflin.

Dick was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 22, 1926 to Clarence and Doris (McGaw) Gahm. Dick served during World War II in the United States Navy. In 1987, Dick retired from Westinghouse. A talented and skilled singer and dancer, Dick sang in the Barber Shop Quartet, Fun Center Chordsman, and he was a charter member of the Johnny Appleseed Square Dancers. Always helping others, Dick was a very helpful neighbor who enjoyed plowing snow for others in the winter and helping them around their homes. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist and Moose Lodge #341.

Dick leaves behind his children, Penny (Pete) Zehner and Patricia (Bruce) Parkhurst; grandchildren, Lora (Steven) Gray, LeAnn (David) Hogan, Christopher (Janna) Chait, and Andrew Parkhurst; numerous great-grandchildren, and other cherished family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty (Piatt) Gahm; and sister, Carol McFann.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am at Trinity Grace Fellowship, 1592 Grace Street, Mansfield, OH 44905. Funeral services will start immediately at 11:00 am. Richland County Joint Burial Squad will perform military honors following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to church.
