SHELBY — The Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference coaches spread the wealth when it came time to vote for the All-MOAC team.

Six different schools are represented on the six-man first team, headlined by Shelby standout Alex Bruskotter.

A Wright State University recruit, Bruskotter led the MOAC in scoring at 23.9 points a night. The 6-foot-7 swingman averaged 9.0 rebounds a game for the MOAC-champion Whippets.

Galion’s Cooper Kent and Clear Fork’s Garett Hotz joined Bruskotter on the first team. Kent averaged 17.4 points and 6.5 rebounds a game, while Hotz was good for 17.8 points and 8.3 boards a game.

Other first-team picks were Marion Harding’s Marquis Long Jr., Pleasant’s Trey Booker and River Valley’s Carson Smith.

Second-team picks included Shelby’s Casey Lantz and Issaiah Ramsey, Galion’s Elijah Chafin and Ontario’s Landon Foltz. They were joined on the second team by Marion Harding’s Logan Thrapp and River Valley’s Ayden Kenney and Chase Ebert.

Honorable-mention selections were Clear Fork’s Jaden Beachy, Galion’s Steven Glew, Highland’s Aron West, Marion Harding’s Braylyn Dyer, Ontario’s Brady Zehe, Pleasant’s Wiley Smith, River Valley’s Sawyer Weston and Shelby’s Brayden DeVito.
