Benjamin M. Leinbach, age 89, of 2959 Hazelbrush Road, Shelby, entered into rest on Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a brief illness.

Born February 5, 1935 in Brecknock Township, PA, he was the son of the late John and Katie (Martin) Leinbach. A retired farmer and carpenter, he was a member of the Springmill Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Naomi (Hurst) Leinbach; 3 sons: Amos (Erma) Leinbach of Greenwich, David (Marlene) Leinbach of Mohnton, PA, Mark (Martha) Leinbach of Greenwich; 6 daughters: Irene Snyder (Ammon, deceased) of Pembroke, PA, Esther Shirk (Elvin) Of Spencer, TN, Mary Stauffer (Allen) of Shelby, Ruth Martin (Glenn, deceased) of Shiloh, Bernice Zimmerman (Ben Nevin) of Shelby, Grace Leid (Daivd) Newmanstown, PA; 66 grandchildren; 137 great grandchildren; siblings: Harvey (Lydia) Leinbach both deceased, Mattie Leinbach deceased, Amanda Zimmerman (Willis, deceased) of PA, Levi Leinbach (Esther, deceased) of PA, Amos Leinbach (Katie, deceased) of MO, Adin Leinbach deceased (Fern) of PA, Ella Zimmerman deceased (Wayne) of PA, Ed Leinbach (Ella) of PA, John Leinbach (Edith) of MO, and Allen Leinbach (Anna) of MO.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the family home, 2959 Hazelbrush Road, Shelby. Funeral services will be at Springmill Old Order Mennonite Church, corner of Dinninger and Plymouth Springmill Roads, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 9:30 am. Bishop Ammon Burkholder will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
