In Loving Memory of Brent Blank December 14, 1956 – February 10, 2024

Brent Blank, a man known for his humor, generosity, and kindness, passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 67 in Louisville, Kentucky. His departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brent was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. He attended Lexington High School and later pursued his education at The Ohio State University. A devoted football fan, he cheered for the Cleveland Browns and wholeheartedly supported all things related to Ohio State. Brent has countless friends in Ohio, friends that will all fill a great sorrow at his passing.

After college, Brent embarked on a fulfilling career with W R Smith and Company, a printing supply company based in Stowe, Ohio. His commitment to the company remained unwavering through various name changes and relocations, including moves to Boston and Louisville, until his retirement in 2023.

Brent found joy in various activities. He loved playing golf and annually participated in a weeklong tournament in Mansfield alongside his brother, Brad. Bowling and beach frisbee were also among his favorite pastimes. His fondest memories were from his youth spent at the family’s summer cottage on Lake Erie, where he became a familiar presence on the beach, surrounded by family and a wide circle of friends.

Brent had an extraordinary relationship with his mother. Every Christmas season, he would spend several weeks in Florida, creating cherished memories together. Their bond was unique, and their companionship brought immeasurable joy to both of them.

Brent Blank’s legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. He was a beacon of light, always finding ways to include others in moments of celebration and enjoyment. His absence will be deeply felt by the many lives he touched.

We honor Brent’s memory and celebrate the impact he had on our lives. May he rest in peace, forever etched in our hearts.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
