Zackary “Zack” Lee Willis, a hardworking laborer and self-taught mechanic, passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 24. Born on September 9, 1999, in Galion, Ohio, he was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
Zack’s determination and love for the outdoors were evident in his passion for fishing. Whether it was casting a line in the early morning or spending long afternoons by the lake, he found solace and joy in the serenity of the water. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and he often shared his knowledge and techniques with others. Many will remember him for his skillful fishing, as they carry on his legacy with rod in hand.
Beyond his love for fishing, Zack possessed an innate talent for repairing vehicles and machinery. Through his self-taught mechanical skills, he had the uncanny ability to fix just about anything. Friends and family would often seek his assistance, knowing that he could solve any technical problem that came his way. Zack’s resourcefulness and dedication illustrated his commitment to helping others and making their lives easier.
However, it was Zack’s unwavering devotion to his family that truly defined him. He cherished the bond he shared with his younger brother, Zander Hooper, and took on the role of protector and role model with pride. Zack’s nurturing nature extended beyond his immediate family, as he looked out for his friends as well. His caring spirit illuminated every gathering and brought people together, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
Zack will forever be remembered as a vibrant soul who embraced life and its challenges with a positive mindset. His passing leaves behind his grieving mother, Glori Johnson, father, Edward Willis, and Grandfather Phillip Breece, all of whom will cherish the cherished memories they shared with him. Also surviving are Zack’s closest friends Taylor Warren, and Michael Heatherington, along with his second mom Tara Warren.
Zack was taken from this world too soon, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he find eternal peace and continue to inspire us all to cherish our loved ones and embrace the beauty of life.
