Billy Allen Sexton, Jr. of Shelby passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. He was 35 years old.

He was born October 9, 1988, in Shelby, Ohio. He loved hunting and riding four wheelers down south. Outdoors was where he spent most of his free time. Whether it was walking around the reservoir or mushroom hunting, he was happiest when he was outside. Billy had a special talent and interest in horticulture. Hummingbirds were of special interest to him. Billy was a very good cook and his potato soup was especially tasty.

Billy is survived by his parents, Billy A. (Glenna) Sexton Sr. and Kathy (Larry) Berry; two brothers, Eric and Scott Vanloo; paternal grandfather, Albert A. Sexton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lula Sexton; maternal grandmother, Marie Butler; maternal grandfather, Walter Butler Sr.; two aunts, Melinda Oney and JoAnn Entler; and uncle, Ralph Butler.

There will be no visitation or service observed. Memorial contributions may be made to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness.
