Tammy Elaine Shaffer, 58, of Mansfield, passed away at her home on Monday, January 29, 2024.

The youngest of three children, Tammy was born on February 1, 1965 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Chester and Alice (Taylor) Lowe. She was a graduate of Ontario High School. She married the love of her life, Woodrow Shaffer on January 28, 1996. Tammy and Woodrow just celebrated 28 blessed years of marriage together. Tammy loved living life; in her younger years she enjoyed greatly 4-wheeling with her brothers. She was always trying for her lucky break at the casino and trying her hand at scratch offs. She loved the thrill of a good horror movie, but appreciated the quiet of sitting on her swing at home with the dogs. Tammy was a lifetime member of VFW Local #9943 and valued time with her friends who she was always surrounded by.

She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Shaffer; her son, John (Kristen) Shaffer; step-son, Micah (Michelle) Webster; step granddaughter, Sophia Webster; good friends, Curtis and Jennifer Bush; her brother, David Lowe; and niece and nephew, Jami and Chet Lowe. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Rickie Lowe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please check the Wappner website for this updated information. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Tammy to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
