Lois A. Bond, 80, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
Lois was born on April 24, 1943, in Floyd County, KY, the daughter of Alex and Roberta (Shephard) Slone. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was her biggest joy, and she especially loved children. Lois had an interest in natural health remedies and health food.

She is survived by her children, Estel J. (Pamela Ann) Bond, Charlie (Vickie) Bond, John Bond, Robert (Marcella) Bond, and Margaret Ann Bond Burge, all of Mansfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda Sue (John) Halbert of Martin, KY, Mary “Sis” Bond of Olive Hill, KY, Bonnie (Kenneth) McKinney of Prestonsburg, KY, Jeannette (Ray) Henderson of Morehead, KY, Donna Kay (Mike) Williams of Baltimore, MD, Tim (Karen) Slone of Martin, KY, William Paul “Buckwheat” Slone of Sharpsburg, KY, Alex Slone of Sharpsburg, KY, Kenneth Slone of Sharpsburg, KY, and Micky (Lisa) Slone of Cynthiana, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Estel “Bud” Bond; brothers, Edgar Slone, Eddie Dean Slone, and Tony Matthew Slone; and two grandchildren, Jonathan “Johnny” Rigsby and Kayla Bond.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
