Janet Kay Eusey, age 79, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at her home in Shelby surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 24, 1943, in Shelby to Lester and Rosemary (Poffenbaugh) Shatzer, she had been a lifelong area resident. A 1961 graduate of Buckeye Central School Janet worked in banking for 24 years and was employed at various branches in Crestline, Bucyrus, and Tiro areas.

Janet was a member of the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church, and The Ladies Auxiliary Tiro Fire Department where she helped organize festivals. Janet was very involved with her church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and assisted with the finances by serving as the treasurer. Janet routinely served on the election board and helped with running the voting polls.

She is survived by her daughters; Janel (Scott Sexton) Tuttle of Mansfield, and Jacquelyn (Terry) Martin of Goshen, IN, four grandchildren; Sierra Tuttle, Andrew Martin, Conner Martin, and Lacey Martin, and brother Richard (Sharon) Shatzer of Tiro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Wimp” Eusey whom she married on November 11, 1967; and her brother Randall Shatzer.

Friends may visit at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM. Scott Fishpaw will officiate with interment held in Tiro Oakland Cemetery.

In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church at 402 Main Street Tiro, Ohio 44887.
