Micah Thomas rushed for two touchdowns and Colonel Crawford rallied for a 21-20 win over Hannibal River on Thursday.
The Pilots jumped out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead before the Eagles came to life. Trevor Vogt scored on a 37-yard run in the second quarter to make it 14-7 before Thomas blasted in from 1 yard out to tie the score at the half.
Thomas’ second score, a 2-yarder in the third quarter, gave Colonel Crawford a 21-14 advantage. River scored in the fourth to make it 21-20 but a potential go-ahead two-point conversion was unsuccessful.
Vogt led the Eagles with 159 rushing yards on 17 carries while completing 4-of-9 passes for 45 yards. Thomas carried the ball 18 times for 65 yards, while Ryan McMichael caught four passes for 61 yards.
