Mary Etta Beecham, 89, of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away on August 1, 2023, at Brethren Care following an extended illness.

She was born in Carter County, Kentucky on October 16, 1933, to Everett and Vada (Williams) Porter. She was a member of Walker Lake Baptist Church. She cherished the time spent with her family and enjoyed cooking, feeding the hummingbirds, flowers, and shopping.

Mary is survived by one son, Clint Beecham; two daughters, Robin White and Rita (Vaughn) Hoovler; three grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, and Tori; seven great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Kane, Kylee, Kaylyn, Jadeyn, Braxton, and McKenzie; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Omega Cole; brother, Randall Porter; two sisters-in-law, Christine Arnett and Pauline Smith; and brother-in-law, William (Hilda) Beecham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Beecham, whom she married on July 8, 1953; three brothers, Willard Porter, Norman Porter, and Woodrow Baricks; four sisters, Nellie Porter, Shirley Porter, Ottie Mays, and Nettie Catron; sister-in-law, Irene Hatcher; and brother-in-law Grady Gene Beecham.

No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Mansfield Memorial Park, with Pastor Brian Phillips officiating.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Township Fire Department, 505 Boyce Road, Shelby, OH 44875.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Burwell and staff, Primrose Retirement Community, Brethren Care and Gentiva Hospice, for their care of Mary. She was a beautiful lady with a heart of gold to everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
