David Eugene Shade

David Eugene Shade, age 68, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home.

Born December 15, 1954, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Betty (Myers) and Wilbur Shade. David was formerly employed at Sensmeier Oil in Mansfield. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed attending races with his brother, Roy. He dearly loved his dogs and had a special place in his heart for eagles. David was a train enthusiast his entire life. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father and brother.

David is survived by a daughter, Jessica (Jake) Dingus; two grandchildren, Jesilyn and Jayda Dingus; four siblings, Roy (Debra) Shade, Chris Shade, Ruth Shade, and Theresa Cains; and other cherished family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul Cains; and uncle, Harold Shade.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, in Oak Grove Memorial Park, State Route 42, Lexington, Ohio.
